Every change to a published review or article on Evident, logged in the open. Price updates, ingredient revisions, lab results, reader reports, and verification corrections.
Why This Exists
Why this page exists
Most product review sites publish a review and never touch it again. That’s a problem: prices change, ingredients get reformulated, brands respond to findings, and lab results sometimes contradict what was published.
Evident updates reviews continuously, and every change gets logged here. When the date on a review says “last updated,” you can find the specific change on this page. We don’t hide updates, and we don’t quietly rewrite history.

The Log
Correction history
Newest entries first. Public log started April 11, 2026.
Changed: Verified current retail pricing for all 56 protein products against brand websites and Amazon. Updated 12 products where prices had changed since initial data collection.
Why: Systematic price verification pass. Protein wholesale costs shifted Q1 2026; several brands adjusted retail pricing. All product pages now reflect April 2026 verified prices.
Changed: Updated certification list to include 2026 Informed Protein verification alongside existing A Greener World, Informed Sport, and ASPCA certifications.
Why: AGN Roots added Informed Protein (nitrogen integrity testing for anti-spiking) to their certification stack in early 2026. Confirmed via brand website and LGC certificate database.
Changed: Verified full amino acid profile against current label. Confirmed 28g protein per serving with published BCAA breakdown (leucine 2.8g, isoleucine 1.5g, valine 1.4g). No proprietary blends.
Why: Routine verification of label claims against the brand's published amino acid profile and Informed Sport certificate. All values confirmed accurate.
Changed: Verified Informed Sport certification is current (certificate #IF-2134-01). Confirmed unflavored formula remains single-ingredient (whey protein isolate only). Cross-referenced against ConsumerLab's most recent protein review.
Why: Periodic re-verification of third-party certification status. NOW Foods maintains active Informed Sport certification on this SKU.
Changed: Price verified at $1.87/serving ($56/month subscription, 30 servings). Subscription-only pricing model confirmed — no one-time purchase option available.
Why: Routine price verification. Ritual's subscription-only model is a scoring factor under Value & Policy — the absence of a one-time purchase option is noted in the product assessment.
Changed: Verified single-ingredient claim (yellow pea protein only). Cross-referenced heavy metals testing against Consumer Reports 2024 data — Naked Nutrition's pea protein was not among the worst offenders. Confirmed third-party heavy metals testing is published on brand site.
Why: Plant-based proteins have elevated heavy metals risk (Consumer Reports 2024 found plant proteins average 9x more lead than whey). Verified Naked's testing transparency claim is current.
Changed: Updated sweetener information: Levels reformulated chocolate flavor from monk fruit + stevia blend to monk fruit only in early 2026. Unflavored SKU remains single-ingredient.
Why: Reformulation detected during routine ingredient label check. The change is positive for consumers who prefer to avoid stevia. Product page updated to reflect current formulation.
Changed: Verified Clean Label Project Purity Award certification is current. Confirmed grass-fed sourcing claim against supplier documentation. Heavy metals COA confirmed published on brand website.
Why: Routine verification of third-party certifications and sourcing claims. Promix maintains one of the strongest transparency positions in the protein category — COAs accessible within 2 clicks of the product page.
Changed: Verified Informed Sport certification (current). Confirmed native whey processing claim — Ascent uses filtration-based isolation rather than chemical denaturation, which preserves the native protein structure. No artificial sweeteners in any flavor.
Why: Routine certification and processing claim verification. Ascent's 'native whey' distinction is a meaningful quality signal that affects protein bioavailability — confirmed it is not just marketing.
Changed: Price updated from $2.13/serving to $2.29/serving. USDA Organic and grass-fed certifications re-verified as current.
Why: Price increase detected during systematic verification. Raw Organic Whey is one of the few USDA Organic-certified whey proteins on the market — the premium pricing reflects the certification cost structure.
Changed: Verified USDA Organic certification is current. Confirmed cold-processed manufacturing claim. Cross-referenced ingredient list — single ingredient (organic whey protein concentrate) confirmed. No gums, lecithin, or flavoring agents.
Why: Periodic verification of organic certification and processing claims. Natural Force maintains a minimal-ingredient approach that is increasingly rare in the protein category.
Changed: Generalized the six scoring criteria from mouth-tape-specific language to category-agnostic descriptions. The framework and weights are unchanged; the criteria descriptions now reference supplements, devices, skincare, and dental in addition to mouth tape.
Why: The original methodology page was written when mouth tape was Evident's only reviewed category. As the site now covers 11+ product categories, the scoring criteria descriptions needed to reflect the full scope of what we review.
