Can mouth taping help with snoring?

For snoring caused by mouth breathing, yes — mouth tape can significantly reduce or eliminate snoring. When your mouth stays closed, air flows through your nasal passages, which naturally filters, humidifies, and slows airflow. This reduces the turbulence in your throat that causes snoring. However, if your snoring is caused by obstructive sleep apnea, nasal polyps, or a deviated septum, mouth tape alone won't fix the root cause. Our sleep study data shows that mouth-breathing snorers saw the most improvement, while nasal-obstruction snorers saw little change.
