Best Nootropic & Focus Pouches (2026)
✓ Updated October 15, 2026

"Nootropic" pouches add ingredients like L-theanine, Alpha-GPC, citicoline, or paraxanthine to (or instead of) caffeine. The key question is whether those doses match what was used in research. Many labels don't let you check.
Label check
| Brand | Focus ingredients (published) | Can you verify the dose? |
|---|---|---|
| Fully Loaded Alpha Fuel | 50 mg caffeine, 50 mg Alpha-GPC, 50 mg L-tyrosine, 20 mg taurine, 20 mg guarana, 15 mg theobromine (Fully Loaded) | Yes |
| Neutonic Focus | 50 mg caffeine, 125 mg Cognizin citicoline (Roon) | Yes. Roon notes citicoline is below typically studied doses |
| Ultra Focus | Paraxanthine, L-theanine, Alpha GPC, B vitamins, ginseng (Ultra) | Not fully, on the pages we reviewed |
| NZE Energy | 50 mg caffeine + Alpha-GPC, L-theanine, L-tyrosine (Roon) | Reviewer describes doses as low |
| MOJO | Caffeine + L-theanine, NALT, ginseng, rhodiola, others (Roon) | No mg for supporting actives |
What the research supports
- L-theanine + caffeine: the most cited trial used 100 mg L-theanine + 50 mg caffeine and found better attention-switching accuracy (Owen et al., 2008). Another found no benefit beyond either alone (Foxe et al., 2012). More →
- Paraxanthine: small crossover trials (12–24 people) report short-term cognitive effects at 100–300 mg (Nutrients 2021). More →
Our take (label-based)
Fully Loaded Alpha Fuel is the most transparent label here. Ultra Focus is the only caffeine-free option, but we couldn't confirm per-pouch doses. Treat undisclosed blends with skepticism until doses are published.
