Why Mouth Tape?

Dryft Sleep is the friendliest tape for sensitive skin thanks to its ultra-soft fabric and gentle silicone adhesive. Made in USA (Los Angeles), with a built-in breathing vent and beard-friendly design. But that gentle hold is also its trade-off: corners lifted on restless nights, and the fiddly alignment tabs made application clumsy.

Somnifix’s mesh breathing vent is a clever idea for people nervous about mouth taping for the first time. But in practice, the vent weakens the seal and allows mouth breathing — which defeats the purpose. The adhesive is also inconsistent: it held fine on some faces but peeled quickly on others. A good concept that doesn’t quite deliver.

It’s not recommended for people with nasal obstructions, untreated moderate-to-severe sleep apnea, or children. If you have concerns, talk to your doctor first.
