Can kids use mouth tape?

We do not recommend mouth tape for children without explicit guidance from a pediatric dentist or ENT specialist. Children's airways are still developing, and mouth breathing in kids often signals underlying issues (enlarged adenoids, allergies, tongue tie) that should be addressed by a professional rather than masked with tape. Some pediatric myofunctional therapists do incorporate mouth taping into treatment plans, but only as part of a supervised protocol. If your child breathes through their mouth at night, see a specialist first.
