Consumer Reports: 400-600% of concern-level lead
Consumer Reports October 2025 testing found Garden of Life Raw Organic Protein contained 400-600% of concern-level lead. Product is USDA Organic + NSF Certified for Sport — yet still tested at 4-6x the concern level, illustrating the "organic contamination paradox" where organic fertilizers concentrate heavy metals.
Lead Safe Mama reports heavy metals in Garden of Life kids multi powder and kids probiotics
Independent Lead Safe Mama (Tamara Rubin) ICP-MS testing reported lead, arsenic, and cadmium in Garden of Life Kids Organic Multivitamin Powder (post dated March 30, 2025; levels described as "alarmingly high"). Separately (January 26, 2025), Dr. Formulated Probiotics Organic Kids+ tested positive for lead and traces of arsenic. Exact ppb values appear in the posts' lab-report images, not in body prose.

Class II voluntary recall for undeclared soy (FYI ULTRA, RM-10, and RM-10 ULTRA)
Garden of Life initiated a voluntary Class II recall (FDA event_id 93289; recall numbers F-0482-2024, F-0483-2024, F-0484-2024) covering FYI ULTRA Ultimate Joint & Cartilage Formula, RM-10 Organically Grown Mushrooms, and RM-10 ULTRA Ultimate Immune System Support because of undeclared soy. FDA reason text: "Undeclared Soy." A Natural Grocers retailer notice dated 2023-10-23 described the allergen as soy flour. Recall terminated 2024-02-14.
