Our Verdict
Best marine collagen. Marine collagen has a structurally lower mercury and contamination risk than bovine because it's derived from purified fish skin and scales (mercury bioaccumulates in fish muscle, not skin). Truvani is third-party tested for heavy metals. The trade-off vs. bovine: smaller serving size (10g vs 20g), higher price per gram, and a slightly fishy aftertaste in plain water.
